چکیده

Figure 1: Fusion reaction rate coefficients Thermonuclear fusion is governed by the rate coefficient 〈σv〉 for fusion reactions, which for a particular reaction is a function only of (ion) temperature T . For the D-T reaction its value is roughly 5× 10−22 m−3s−1 at T = 20keV, the typical operating temperature of proposed reactors. The rate peaks a factor of only 2 higher at about 60keV temperature, so it is not generally worth trying to go to higher temperature. For other fusion reactions the rate is at least 10 times less; so they are much more difficult. Pulsed reactors consider a single complement of fuel which is compressed, heated, reacts and then exhausts. Net energy production requires that sufficient fraction of the fuel experiences a fusion reaction, otherwise the energy consumed in compressing and heating the fuel will surpass the fusion energy released. In some approaches to pulsed fusion, such as Magnetized Target Fusion, it is supposed that essentially the whole of the fuel is heated. In others, only a fraction of the fuel (the “hot spot” in laser fusion) is supposed to be heated, and its energy yield is supposed to heat

Analysis of Cracks in the Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser Welded Joint of Nickel-Based Superalloy

The weldability of GTD-111 nickel-based superalloy by pulsed Nd:YAG laser welding with an average power of 250 W was studied, and the microstructural evolution and cracking characteristics were also investigated. The solidification cracking of the fusion zone (FZ) and the intergranular liquation cracking in the heat affected zone (HAZ) were observed in the joint. Solidification cracking was cau...

THE BEST DURATION OF LOW INTENSITY PULSED ULTRASOUND FOR ACCELERATING FRACTURED-RADIAL BONE REPAIR

We have already shown that low intensity pulsed ultrasonic treatment increases rabbit radial fracture healing. The present experiment was undertaken to find out the best duration for treatment. A complete transverse fracture was made in the right radial bones of21 adult male rabbits by a Stanley knife. The animals were divided into 4 groups: group 1, control groups 2, 3, and 4, experimental...

Investigation of Microstructure weld zone of Hastelloy X Pulsed Nd-YAG laser welds

In the present study, the microstructure of welded zone of Hastelloy X sheets with thickness of 1 mm via pulsed Nd-YAG laser welding were studied. This welding process was done by autogenus and conductive method. Microstructure were observed by metallurgical OM and SEM. Results shown Solidification of the weld metal is dendritic. The dendrites in the central zone of the welding are fine and equ...

LOW INTENSITY PULSED ULTRASOUND TREATMENT INCREASES RABBIT RADIAL FRACTURE HEALING

In order to study the effect of ultrasound (US) on bone healing, a complete transverse fracture was made in the right radius of adult male rabbits by a cutter. 52 rabbits were used: group I. control (n= 17): group 2. test (n:=: 15): group 3, intact (n= I) and group 4 (n= 12) who were examined only for evaluation of the cutter effects in detail. 7 animals were operated with a Gigli saw. The ...
